Keep your body’s skin hydrated and protected during cold weather:
1. Shorten Hot Showers Limit your showers to 5–10 minutes using lukewarm water. Long, steaming hot showers quickly strip your skin of its natural, protective oils.
2. Apply Moisturizer immediately pat your skin with a towel after showering and lotion up within three minutes. Applying product while your skin is still damp traps the surface moisture into your skin.
3. Switch to rich Body Butters trade thin body lotions for thick creams, body butters, or ointments. Look for deeply hydrating ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter.
4. Exfoliate gently and less often cut back body scrubbing to once a week max. Use a gentle sugar scrub to remove dead skin without irritating dry patches.
5. Protect your hands constantly apply a heavy-duty hand cream every time you wash your hands. Wear gloves outside to shield your hands from harsh, moisture-stripping winter winds.
6. Give your feet extra care, apply Foot Cream with 6% UREA by SBBC7 (Splash of Beauty Body Care) before bed. Put on a pair of breathable cotton socks overnight to lock in the moisture while you sleep.
7. Choose skin-friendly fabrics Wear soft, breathable cotton or silk layers directly against your skin. Avoid letting rough fabrics like wool rub directly against your body, as they can trigger itching and rashes.
8. Wash with Soap-Free Body Cleansers, swap harsh body washes. Look for “fragrance-free” and “sensitive skin” labels to prevent unnecessary irritation.
